Could you please help to identify some of these butterflies from southern Zambia.
Only one I am sure of is the Garden Inspector. Some look very similar to Hong Kong ones...

Only I can tell is that no. 5 is a moth, similar ones in HK:

i just know #1 is Euthalia spp.
#5 is Eurema spp.
#8 is Junonia spp. (near Junonia hierta in Hong Kong)

The Garden inspector is actually quite an interesting butterfly as it has a summer form and a winter form (this picture is of the winter form). Its latin name is Precis archesia...

agree on Precis archesia
Z1 = Belenois gidica
Z2 = Colotis sp., probably eupompe (=evippe)
Z3 = Graphium loenidas
Z4 = Eurema sp.
Z5 = Geometridae, Sterrhinae; genus & sp. indet.
Z6 = Hamanumida daedalus
Z7 = Precis (Junonia) hierta
Cape Town Lycaenid = Cacyreus lingeus
