For the second option, I think our forum already serves the function.
I guess we can have regular monitoring before, during and after construction, if it really becomes the case.
Baseline information is important as it all disappears after human destruction.
Many academics (incl. sstsim) have recorded bundles of info for Sha Lo Tung (SLT).
but I guess more are yet to be found, just like the case of Lung Mei (which I did not involve much, maybe other boardmates can supplement it)
Before all actions are taken we shall determine:
1. whether we object the development at all
2. if yes, then we shall proactively do sth to disclose more ecological info about SLT by field trips, and make formal objections to express our view
3. if no, then we can be the watchdog just as what even928 and sstim said
