I agree with David on #1, but not on #2 - I think both are Chrysodeixis eriosoma. C. acuta has an obviously narrower forewing (makes the apex look "acute" - i.e. more pointed), a lighter, golden (not bronze) lustre, a darker background colour, both silver "drop" marks relatively large and completely infilled and a clearly visible silver right angle mark just a little over halfway to the apex, about a quarter distance from the costa to the dorsum. It seems a lot of people confuse these (and other plusiine) species.
I have attached photo specimens of both : 16 = C. acuta 17 = C. eriosoma.
