I agree with Kong that a better series of photos showing:
(1) overall form,
(2) dorsal view of branch + leaves,
(3) flowers / fruit,
(4) stem / trunk
makes identifying a plant much easier.
Additionally, preferably all photos should be with good depth of field and natural light - this may mean taking a tripod and using long exposures! (though I am well aware of the extra weight and time this takes)
Cecily & I also thought Ardisia hanceana was a candidate, but ruled it out on leaf stalk differences. However, we are happy to be corrected if good reason(s) exist!
