I saw this in Sai Kung today. I have 3 reference books on HK butterflies that quote status in various categories: Rare, Uncommon and Found in most country parks.
Firstly, is the species ID correct? Secondly, which of the status categories shown is correct?
Seem to be (uncommon) but widely distributed作者:

Hi David. "Shirley" is actually Andrew (my wife registered for me!!) Hardacre and I took this in the Lions Nature Education Centre yesterday. I also spent ages chasing (but failing to photograph) Lamproptera curius. I didn't recognize it and trawled my reference books when I got home. Thanks for replying.作者:

Thanks Yip. I don't read Chinese, but my wife, Shirley is Chinese so I'll ask her to help me out. I guess from the code it is 'uncommon'. Good link. Much appreciated.
PS I was walking near our house today and saw Curetis dentata again! And photographed it. This was in the village of Lung Mei so Sai Kung is seemingly a "stronghold".
