These are all Sesiidae (Clearwing Moths) 透翅蛾科
The first and thirds species I have not seen photos of before (although the third is the same photo as was posted a few weeks ago on HKInsect.Net) and the third almost certainly represent a new species record for Hong Kong.
The second species has been placed in the genus Synanthedon for now, and I am using the morphospecies name Synanthedon sp. A in the forthcoming Illustrated Guide to the Moths of Hong Kong. It has been recorded at least twice before, from Hoi Ha Wan and Lau Shui Heung reservoir, in May and October.
The blue species (with the furry hindlegs) is really fascinating, as it doesn't look close to genera that I have seen in S.E.Asia, and might even represent a new genus.
The species from Tai Po looks as though it may belong in the genus Paranthrene or Nokona. It might possibly be a male Nokona pernix.
Many thanks for sharing.
