probably the correct genus.
I have several other HK records and they all differ subtly from true sunidesalis
(illustrated in Robinson, Tuck & Shaffer, 1994), the HK species has more pronounced discal spots on both the f/w & h/w, the f/w spot is placed a little closer to the wing apex than in sunidesalis
and there are subtle differences in fasciae. There are a lot of supposed sunidesalis
specimens (live) illustrated on the moths of Japan website - I don't know if these are correctly identified, as RTS'94 gave Indian subcontinent, Indochina, Borneo and the Philippines as the range for sunidesalis
, stating that the genus is pantropical and comprises 20+ species; nine from the Indo-Australian region.
Need to dis-sect a few specimens to know which species the HK population is attributable to.
