The identity of the HK species is not yet clarified - it is closest (not on external pattern, but based on genitalia) to Percnia luridaria (Leech, 1897), but Tony Galsworthy tells me the genitalia are not an exact match for anything yet described.
For the time being, it is best to call this Percnia sp. nr. luridaria.

there was a partly melanic suffused individual of this species at my rooftop light trap this morning - it had a very dark medial band on both the f/w and h/w.
